The Mitered square is a quick, easy make and can be used in numerous projects from blankets to vests to pillows. But this month we will concentrate on a dishcloth.
This pattern starts off with several stitches and then is decreased down to one.
Stitches we will explore
Hdc– Half Double Crochet
HDC3tog– Half Double Crochet 3 together- Hdc 3 stitches together to create a decrease. [Yarn over, Insert hook into next stitch and pull up a loop] x 3. (You now have 7 loops on your hook.) Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the crochet hook

Yarn
You can use a variety of yarns for this pattern. I suggest if making a dishcloth that you use a cotton yarn. Alternatively, if you are making a hot pad (pot holder) I HIGHLY recommend using cotton yarn. Yarns with other fibers such as acrylic, wools, and poly blends can melt or cause a fire.
For this sample I used: Peaches ‘N Cream in the color Creamsicle
Materials
Yarn: Peaches ‘N Cream/ Creamsicle/ 25g
