A Knitting Loom Review: Flexee Bitty

Authentic Knitting Board has done it again! The flexee loom is an ingenious concept developed by Renita Harvey. She wanted to come up with a loom that made it easier to increase and decrease! With that idea in mind she presented it to them and Viola! The Flexee looms came to fruition.

As you may or may not know, depending on your experience with knitting looms. We are limited to the types of projects that we can do. There’s either not enough pegs- which can stop us from making things like triangular shawls, sweaters, etc. Unless the pattern is written sideways. I am not a huge fan of sideways shawls. I just don’t like the way they look or sit on my shoulders. Or the loom, itself, is too big or awkward to use comfortably. 

In comes the Flexee looms!! A loom is created with links that you put together so that you can easily increase or decrease for a hat, shawl, or scarf. the projects and ideas are endless. The flexibility (did you like that play on words? lol) allows you to fold the loom up for easy storage when you’re not working on it or for portability!!!

While you have to purchase several sets of these links to do a large project they are reasonably priced between $14.99 and $16.99 ( as of the date of this post) which makes them a reasonable investment to get the number of packs needed. Buy one now and two later!

I’ll admit that when I got my first set a couple of years ago I was concerned that I may not be able to use them because of my arthritic hands, as seen in the video below.

I am happy to say that over time it has become easier to move/remove the links when needed!!

I RECENTLY ADDED THE BITTY SIZE TO MY COLLECTION AND WILL BE ADDING A REVIEW TO THIS POST SOON! I’m excited about the versatility of this size! Especially it is the perfect gauge for socks and now we can do different types of heels and toes, too!!
