Mosaic Crochet Windmill Blanket Strip- Free Chart

Spring brings to mind my travels through The Netherlands, where I admired the iconic windmills standing majestically against the backdrop of colorful tulip fields. The vibrant hues of the flowers seemed to dance in the gentle breeze, creating a picturesque scene that felt almost surreal. Each windmill told a story of the region’s rich history, and I found myself captivated by their intricate designs and the way they gracefully turned with the wind.

You can repeat this mosaic crochet Windmill blanket section to achieve your preferred size or incorporate it into a year-long crochet-along (CAL) to honor the changing seasons. The Windmill Mosaic Strip pattern will be showcased in the Months of the Year Blanket CAL, hosted by Elimee Designs in 2025.

This year-long project features 11 talented crochet designers who will unveil a new section of the blanket on the first of every month. By the end, these strips will come together to create a stunning afghan that you can finish in time for Christmas, if you wish!

Mosaic Windmill Chart

You might be wondering, “Isn’t this chart flipped?” You’re correct! Each section has been intentionally designed upside down to allow the blanket to be created from the top down, beginning with January. This approach ensures that the months will be in the proper order when the project is complete.

This Chart will remain free on this blog.
